Earlier this month, the island of San Salvador welcomed the reopening of the famed Club Med Resort. The resort which had been closed for more than two years previously welcomed scores of visitors to the island’s beautiful shores but was shuttered at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Residents Lash Out At Club Med
Bahamian tour operators on San Salvador are lashing out at the island's main employer, contending that the resort is squeezing out locals and imposing unfair business practices. Club Med, the only resort on San Salvador, hires more than 200 Bahamians.
